500 inch Caddy into 89 'Bird

So I've got a pair of 500 cid Caddy motors. One is a 70 high compression, the other is a 74. I plan on using the 70 heads with the 74 short block in order to see about 9:1 compression. An aluminum performer intake and Comp 268H should round out the combo. Anyway, does anyone have info on doing the swap? I can't find anything anywhere on this. My immediate concerns are the motor mounts, front clearance, and transmission cross member location with a TH400. Any help would be appreciated.

Do a search of this forum, IIRC someone here has already done the 500 cad swap.

I believe he also removed a nice chunk of his firewall for better weight distribution too.

Why would he do that? With an aluminum intake they're within 20lbs of an iron head small block Chevy.
