305tpi swap to a lt1
hi i have an 88 gta that the engine is going and im wondering how hard it is to swap an lt1 in to it and what i'll need to change i don't need a/c. will i need to change the fuel pump or my computer, wiring harnes? because i found a lt1 for $1400 but i don't know what it comes with yet i'll find out tomorrow. or should i put an 87 350 tbi but i would put my tpi on instead? if possible. any imput will help alot thanks

try a SEARCH or look at the post RIGHT ABOVE YOURS its a sticky, LT1 swaps in general, also the third post up from this one, LT1 wiring for dummies.

what's up. i just did and am still doing my swap. i had a 305 tpi in my camaro and i put a 96 lt1 in it. if your buying the lt1 make sure or see if you can get it with the complete wiring harness. pcm (computer) and all acc. the fuel pump will be ok. i did not have to change mine. if your not running a/c you can get a delete wheel. and make sure you get the info for your car wiring diagrams and also info for the lt1 engine which there is plenty of info on this site. and also you will not be able to use 305 harness or computer
