quick question..
Anyone know what is stock HP/Torque on a late 70's 400 SBC?
If i swap in my goodies from my 355 (making 350 ish HP) to the 400, will just the increase in displacement make any real difference in HP from the 355?
everyone and their aunt has a 70's 350 in their 3rd gen, i just wanna do something different.

In 1970, they had a whooping 265 gross flywheel HP. For reference, a q-jet 327 in '67 had 275. Torque was better for the 400, as you might imagine, but I'm not sure of those numbers.
The shortblock is about all you really want to try to use. The cam & heads should be chucked.
