1987 L98 swap

I have a 1987 Iroc with 5.7(124K) and a small oil leak. I debating between a complete rebuild of this engine or a new crate engine. My question is will the stock tpi system bolt up to a ZZ4 or Fast Burn 385 without any problems? How about the 290HP long block that Scroggins Dickey sells? I have also located a couple of 1985 Corvette L98's that I could rebuild and swap in. Will the 1987 tpi system bolt up to those? My ultimate goal consists of 350-400HP and 400(+)ft/lbs. I have a co-worker that runs 13.7 in a untuned Honda CRX that I would love to walk consistly. I don't have to worry about emissions but I would like to keep the tpi setup.

Thanks in advance

I almost forgot, the other option is the 350 tpi engine from goautocenter.com. I'm sure with a little work that engine could get close to 350hp.

Thanks again

Your probably gonna have to leave TPI outta the mix if you wanna go over 300hp. Its just to restrictive for that kind of power. I wouldn't bother with those older Corvette L98 motors, but maybe find out what heads they have. I know some L98 Corvette motors had aluminum heads, and that would be a nice upgrade on your L98. Those Corvette motors ('85) aren't roller blocks like yours though, so keep yours.

That's one thing I was hoping to find out. Thanks.
