a little graduation present to myself, i'm taking out a loan for however much it'll cost for an engine swap from my pathetic little 2.8 to a nice 5.7

besides the obvious ((engine, mounts, tranny)) what else will i have to price out? if anyone has done a similar if not identical swap please let me know how it went and how much it costed


i'm thinking of purchasing a used IROC from a junk yard to take the spare parts from. i'm getting a rebuilt 350 and tranny but everyother part i am willing to take out of a junker

Use the search at the top of the page... I think you'll find out everything you need... LOTS of people have done this swap. Just do some research by yourself then when you're stuck, ask questions.
