Im trying to decide between a 383 using a miniram, AFR 195's, and a nice cam... or a 355 with the miniram, AFR195's and supercharged with a D1SC or instead of the miniram use one of those supercahrgers that come with the intake such as a Weiand 177. I dont want use a carb, so thats out.

I want this engine to last, I want to build one engine and keep it for a few yrs so its definetly going to be all forged internals and mostly new parts and some things I can reuse from the 305. I'll only be driving this car in the summer only on nice days maybe 2-3 times a week. I dont really have to worry about smog stuff and I'd like to get decent gas mileage. Im looking for about 500 hp.

What would you guys recommend here? i saw Anniversary-Z-man numbers with the 383 putting out 523hp and that is pretty nice. I do love the sound of a supercharger whistling though but Im not going to go one way just cause of that. Any opinions and suggestions would be appreciated.
