I have converted my TPI to a carb for one of the birds.

here is the challenge will the car work without the computer? Like the distributor FYI i used a vacume advaced distributer. I ask because whil etaking out the wiriring harness I noticed that there is another harness that goes under the dash that ties into the harnes that go to the injectors.

I am confussed. I need the computer and harness to go with a 396 smallblock turbo motor for another bird.

Carb'd small blocks worked fine without computers for 30 years

 

Yea, I know that!!, and the auto has been arround with a carb for a longer than 30 years!!
I made my own harness for the 68 camaro works well.

but if you where like me and never removed a TPI wireharness before and saw that there was another harness that goes to the computer toward the steering colum you may have the same question as I did not know if the computer controled the other harness in the car.

WELL i CHAULK IT UP TO A BIG BRAIN FART!!

I Just hooked up the battery to ansewr my question. I was thinking to hard on a simple solution.
