Just a quick question, would it be possible to do an engine swap from a 2.8 ltr to an LS1 in an 85 Firebird?
If so, how difficult?
My main goal is something unique with this bird of mine, I would like to keep it as fuel injected and automatic tranny.

 

Its very possible. If you do a few searches, you will find all you should want to know, also read the stickies above, they cover things very well.
