TBI-LT1 TB cable?

All of you TBI to LT1 guys, got a few questions. What do you do about the throttle cable? my stock one is almost long enough, but not...can I use the LT1 cable? Also, the LT1 had an auto, can I plug the VSS connector from the auto harness to my T56?

Get yourself a new tpi cable for a 92 , no the connector is different, go to the parts store and get a replacement water temp sensor plug, should be a HELP part.

Thanks man, I'll check that out. Also, when switching fuel pumps from TBI to LT1, I noticed that the sender from the LT1 tank was bigger than the TBI one. Would a metal tank from the '94 Z28 fit in my thirdgen with no problems? Or should I just swap the fuel pump itself onto the TBI sender and put the TBI tank back in?

Just swap a TPI pump onto the TBI sender and you're good to go.

That's what I did. Also, FYI, the LT1 throttle cable is almost a direct fit. It just takes a little tweaking!

Why ask for the part number for the LT1 cable when the late tpi one requires no modification ?

OK, how 'bout the part number for the late model TPI cable?

I'm going from a different style throttle body to an LT1/late TPI set-up, and getting things is easier if I had the part number.

thanks!

Mine was in stock when I went to the dealer and probably do have the number somewhere in all the reciepts. I'm sure you aren't going to have any problems.
