Transmission: Auto+shift Kit 3.73 gears
How much difference!!!!!!
I am thinking about buying a new gmpp crate engine that puts out 260hp. It is the base 350. How much of a difference will this engine be compared to my 305 with my mods. Should I wait till I can buy a better 350 or should I buy the base and add mods over time.

It would be noticeably better, but I'd hold out for something in the 300hp range.
The engine you are talking about more than likely has yerbasic smogger 350 shortblock.

That engine actualy makes about the same power as your 305. Don't bother it is crap and every part needs to be upgraded for performance.
