LT1 swap mounting PS res.
LT1 swap mounting PS res.
Hey, so Im super close to finishing up, just need a few Q's answered.
1. how does eveyone mount the PS reservoir?
2. I have a complete B-body Harness, but there isn't alot of resources for it in this swap, does anyone know if the fuel relay is in the underhood fuse box (I believe so) or is it mounted like the F-body inside the car?
3. can I extend the MAF wires to locate the PCM in the stock b-body location (under the charcoal canister which has been removed) ? without causing issues with the MAF?
Thx for the help

Check here for an idea how mine is mounted:

I don't know about the bbody harness.
You can extend the MAF wires with no problem. Use solder though for a good connection. I had to extend mine when I relocated the Maf.

I mounted my p.s. resevoir on a stand alone pedestal on the passenger side frame "rail" just in front of the alternator.

got any dimensions from this Pedestal ?
Well, if I had to do it again, I would probably make a nice bracket like 6speedIROC did, I've got some photos I doubt he would mind me posting you you'd like.
For mine, the pedestal was originally the PCM mount that we simply welded a 3" x 1" x 1/4" flat bar too with a couple of holes drilled in it for the resevoir. It is one of the few things I plan on changing sometime in the near future.

pics would be good.
I plan also to mount the PCM in the stock buick location, which is the other tray (battery tray opposite side.)
maybe something to pull air flow over it.
