engine rebuild/swap qustion
iv looked all over but couldnt really find this. i just built a 350 with eldebrok heads which where milled a little for more compresion. Now my qustion is i have everything together on the motor except the spark plugs arent in and the intake manifold isnt on, how hard using the crank tool, should it be to turn the crank?
and my second qustion is i have an 87 305 motor, will the accesorys from that motor bolt on to an 89 350 motor? including the water pump

All the accesories should work fine.
As for turning the engine over, you should be able to grab the balancer (on the stand i assume?) and, if you put some muscle into it, turn the crank.

I try to avoid any twisting force on the outer hub. It may not hurt it, but I don't like the risk. A strap wrench around the pulley is another way I have used. I also have the Proform engine rotating tool that bolts to the 3 pulley mounting bolts.
But I guess, the question remains: which crank tool are you talking about?
