Welcome abaord. You will find that this is a popular swap for all kinds of 3rd gen modders looking for power, drivability, and gas mileage. Take some time and read through the stickies at the top of this forum. There are millions of posts out there that cover what is involved with this swap along with parts lists and cost totals.

Just a suggestion, but if you really want a LT1 thirdgen, you should look for a complete TPI car with a blown motor. This will put you much farther ahead in the swap.

You will have the correct suspension.
you will have the correct motor mounts.
You will have the correct fuel pump.
You will have the correct tranny, or at least one you can use.
You will have the correct exhaust.

There's probably more.

if you mean by 305 instead of 350, then NO!!!!

the size of the engine is not important when swaping SBC, 305 -> 350 maybe even 400 are all the same physical dimensions.

what is considered is induction type, carb is the easiest to swap in, where as LS1 is more difficult. Lets put it this way the mechanical aspect of installing an engine is the easiest part (I have done 1 swap so I speak from experience, that even I can do it) the wiring, I would say is currently my BANE!!!!

If you fear not the wiring, then do the LT1 swap, other wise you could just find a 350TPI car and do some basic mods to it.
