Pontiac 400 in an 88 Trans Am
can anyone help me out please, i just bought an 88 red Trans am, and i just put a pontiac 400 in it.. the car is t-top, can anyone give me advice on how to make the car into a street performer, but yet a daily driver? i also would like advice of how to put headers, since third gens dont have the ground clearence. any information would be greatly appreciated. thanx....

You'll find this subject has been beat to death.
In fact, at the very top of this page, is a "sticky" post about somebody swapping a 455 into their car. It's the same thing of course, once you peel away all of the "torque monster" and "real Pontiac power" and all of that crap from it, and plant your feet firmly back on solid reality. In that post are links to other posts on the same subject. It's really a quite popular swap; almost as popular as putting a big block in one of these cars.
