mallory 4309 (return style regulator). Set it to ~5.5.

Engine: A small block something?
I used the the tbi stock pump (12psi) and bought a holley max psi one for $22 bux and a cheap little psi gauge and set it to 7psi and blocked the return line. Hope this helps

I would not block the return line. The pump can and will eventually burn out.
