LT1 swap side effects
I understand that Lt1's that are put into most 3rd gen cars do not conform to the cars EGR valve/line flow, that you need to block off the EGR valve. This how increases the temperature in the exhuast manifolds and leaves your car unfit for the emission requirements. Is there an inexpensive way to compensate for the increased emissions?

The Corvette (on the L98 anyway) had the EGR routed outside the heads. I'm sure you could do something like that.

I have a 94 lt1 from a caprice in my 85z. Took it to the california smog referee and he got me the first time for air intake and charchol canister. Took it back and now it is california legal. Btw, all the stock smog pieces were on the car at the time. Also the motor is bone stock with 155,xxx miles and runs 13.6et

I have the no EGR(blocked off) and the A.I.R. tubes on my headers are blocked off as well. I passed Illinois emmisions with flying colors. You don't have to block anything off. You can connect whatever is there with some degree of creativity.
