v6 to v8tbi swap questions

HI. I read the swap faq but have a few questions. I have a 92 v6 firebird I want to put the v8 into. I have a 91 v8 tbi firebird as a donor car. Whats the difference between the two when it comes to fuel pressure? Will I need to use a 3 port regulator? Or would it be easier to just change the pumps out.

Thanks

ldbaine

The V6 pump should work with the TBI unit.

Im gonna say he'll need the pressure regulator as I thought the V6's ran the same PSI as TPI/LT1 and TBI only needs like 15psi?

Pressure is made via a regulator not a pump. I ran a tpi and lt1 pump in my crossfire with the pressure set to 10 psi.

You'll be fine with the stock pump, it will have higher flow rating than a stock tbi pump.

So I will still need to run a pressure regulator. And just make sure its set to 15psi. Cool.

Thanks
