ls1 swap here i come

droped my 92 z-28 off at bruces (hawks thirdgen) last friday. as off right now no pics have been posted but my old motor and tranny are out and he has instaled the cam and put the motor in. this is what im doing as of right now....i have things poping in my head day to day.
1. 2001 ram air motor w/ a 6 speed
2. fuel pump
3. fuel press. reg.
4. alum. driveshaft
5. 4.10 gears
6.spohn torque arm
7. spohn lca's and brackets
8. subfram con.
9. ported manifolds
10. custom "y" pipe no cats
11. keeping the slp exhaust dual out the driver side
12. pro 5.0 short throw shifter
13. comp cam spec: dur @.050 228, 232 lift: 572, 572
14. pushrods and springs.
15. im pretty sure it has the ls6 intake sence the 01 and newer did.

now i did some research and i was looking at puting the slp loudmouth on. what do you guys think of that? also i found some headers that would work with the swap made by JBA they are $629. do you think they would make much of a perform. difference than the stock ported manifolds? any help would be appreciated....also if there is anything that seems im missing let me know....thanks

The JBA shorty headers have been shown to actually flow worse than the stock '01+ manifolds. If you're going to spend that much money, look for some inexpensive mid-length or long tube headers. I think I paid about $700 for my pacesetters - hoping they will fit in with Hawks tubular K-member.

You didn't mention porting the throttle body. You are also going to want to beef up or replace your rear-end if you are using anything other than street tires, and you are going to want to upgrade your brakes all the way around.

Finally, have you given any thought to lowering the front end? You are going to lose like 100-150 pounds off the front end by the time you are done.

Can't wait to get back onto my car later this month. Been held up 'cause the engine in the truck went, so the $$$ had to go their first.
