New deal, and guys i know but this time i've decided

ok well today at my 3rd job, there was a guy that’s a norm came in, and started talking about his 69 camaro that had been in car craft magazines top 100 in the country 3 years running...

I asked him what he had for spare parts, he said two 454 blocks, bored out .04 over.... two forged cranks reworked, big block heads (don’t need them for older camaro's), all kinds of stuff...

He said he'd been looking for a good 400sbc, and is willing to trade a empty big block 454, completely remachined, a set of pistons, a crank, and a set of lifters...

No heads, no rods, but I can get those...

He'd do a straight up trade, so he met me at my friend’s barn an hour ago, and wala, he was surprised at the 400 him, and wants to trade...

So sometime this week he'll be coming back in with an inventory of his garage and basement, with casting numbers and dyno info and we’ll setup a trade...

My questions are this,

He has an unassembled roll cage for 82-92 camaro; he'll throw in for $50, a set of big block motor mounts for $10... SFC’s he said he could get from a buddy who has part ownership in gateway and has a few records there...

is this a good deal, all I got to buy for this he says are some good rods, heads(he said he'll try to scrounge me up some) and a few other small parts like bearing and whatever...

So a straight up trade for a 454 big block, from a 400 I put $275 in...

So um.... hmmm iunno why I keep changing my mind but... I’ll be taking my camera when I go into his basement and garage.... he has some cool stuff he says. So much he doesn’t know what to-do with it...

Go ahead and trade. Then take a picture of this 454 block. Stick a pencil or pen in one of the coolant passages to set it apary as your own and not some robbed image found elsewhere.

Until you prove yourself, you are but a liar and a waste of both time and bandwidth here on TGO. Want to tell me otherwise, find me on AIM.
