LT1 Emissions...
LT1 Emissions...
I have finally decided on doing a 94/95 LT1 swap. When I get into it, probably am going to do a whole overhaul of everything. I'm thinking of going w/ Lloyd Elliot's Emission friendly cam and heads...BUT, my question to you guys is,
If I go w/ his 1, 2, or 3 kits, will it pass emissions based on our more FORGIVING emissions specs than the newer cars?
To rephrase, since it's a 94/95 engine/electronics...if it is said to FAIL emissions on THOSE years w/ a bigger cam...what would it have to say on specs for a '90 model year car? What's failing to a '95 Car, might be passing to a "90" car...

Get the requirements for your area. Most places, it's the newer of engine or chassis that defines your requirements. You may be able to sneak an LT1 through as a '90, but more than likely you're going to have to meet the LT1 year requirements.

I'm for the if they don't ask, you don't tell. And if you think it will fail emmisions, take it to a Jaun and Hector's garage. It will pass there for about $20.
