85 L69 rebuild or a waste??

I have a 85 camaro z28 l69 5 speed t-top i was just wondering if i should spend the time and of course money!!! on rebuilding the 305 or just go ahead and drop in a 350. I heard stuff about this car being somewhat rare and if i should keep it #'s matching or not. what do you think?

Put the motor in your shed and drop in a 350....or 400...or a stroked 400!!!

No replacement for displacement.

Thats what I did for my '83 L69 car. I got the L69 in my shed, and a 350 under the hood.

sweet i guess thats what ill do!!! the 305 makes decent power but of course i still need more. i dont know if the value of these cars will ever increase so much that its worth #'s matching!!. but hey it's winter and im bored some might as well build a engine!!

The L69 is a great motor, but really no comparison for a decent 350 setup. I would keep it though! Do you still have the dual-snorkel air cleaner on it? Those are quite pricey and look badass. I'd keep it!
