After 5 years of my car sitting dormant in my garage, I was able to start it yesterday. I could only keeping it running for a few minutes at a time due to the headers starting to glow, but at least it fired up.

 

congratulations!!!! I hope to have my car resurrected fully again in about 2mos or less.

 

You really cant beat the sound of a new motor firing up after dumping so much time and effort into it

 

Thanks Project85. Good luck on yours, the last month or so was some of the most nerve racking time I have spent on the car just trying to make sure I hadnt forgotten anything before I fired it up. Hopefully with some more timing it will be good to go.

And hell yea it sounded great, no pinging or anything. Just a 2500-3000rpm roar through that flowmaster. A sweet noise to be sure.

With three days to wrench on it this weekend I am hoping Ill have it ready to drive around by Monday.
