305 to 350 swap -same ol qustion-.
Hey.. sorry but i have the same ol qustion about the 305 to 350 swap in the 84.. i have the -h- model code in the , i am taking a loan out of the bank for $3,500 and plaing on buying the GM 350 long block for $1,300 and buy new waterpump, radatior and intake etc. and i had the q-jet rebuilt about 4 months ago so i plan on using that but i just wanna just wanna know if some of you guys have done this and found some surpises in the process.......i just got this account today so i am new at this message stuff i'll get my pics going soon. thanX

That engine, your current heads ported with 1.94" intake valves, upgraded cam, and upgraded valve springs (along with full exhaust), would be a pretty good running setup.
