Engine: 2.8l-(350 on the way)
Transmission: auto-(for the wife)
info for complete engine swap?
I would like a COMPLETE run down on what EXACTLY is involved in swapping out the 2.8MPFI for a 305 or 350 carburated engine in my 87 Firebird.If anyone has done this swap please let me know.
All info from fuel pump to suspension and exhaust to driveline changes.Motor mount replacement and sending units for the gauges.
If any parts from a scrap yard are inter-changeable let me now.
Also starting and charging systems differences.

If you want a step-by-step that starts with "Open the hood", and includes which bolt to take out at what time, you're probably not going to find that.
