LT1 To Carb
My 4th Gen was totaled 3 days ago. The cammed LT1 and Art Carr 700r4 are still good. Since my 88 is in need of and engine and tranny, Im thinking about buying the car back from my insurance company real cheap (they dont know its a $2100 tranny
) What needs to be done to convert an Lt1 to carb? I dont care about keeping the fuel injection and messing with tuning the computer and the all wiring. Do I just need the specific LT1 Carb Intake, and then just normal small block parts? Does an HEI distributor fit into the LT1 block, or do I modify the Optispark or sumthin? Did a search, didnt find anything about converting LT1's, just swapping them.

youll also have to use a 6 3/4'' inch SBC balancer becasue the stock LT1 7 1/2'' wont fit under the block off plate plate needed to block the opti hole.
