It's Finally Running
I would like to say thanks to everyone on the board. My 350 swap is finally done and I couldn't have done it without all of the information on TGO. I'll try to post some before and after pics tomorrow. Heres the details though. 350ci, 9:1 Sealed Power Pistons, Clevite Cam 204 in. 214 ex, lift.421in .444 ex., cloyes double roller timing chain, ported 76cc heads (yeah I know). Cyclone intake, 3310 Holley 750 VS, Mallory FP Regulator, Proform HEI billet dist. Flowtech (yes, I went cheap) shorty headers. TCC Lockup kit from Monter Transmission. Should have the exhaust done tomorrow. Other than a small fire trying to get the carb tuned and finding out that it is not possible to put the motor in with the headers on it all went pretty good. Took 1 week to finish. It's a heck of a step up from the tired old 305.

Great feeling, huh?
Is that a typo? Haven't heard of that outfit. Caught my eye because my mother's maiden name is Monter.
Really? Did you use a tilt sling? Tranny and engine together? I put engine-only in with the Hooker 2055 shorties attached. Plan on pulling engine/tranny when the 350 is together w/headers attached, if possible.

Yes that was a typo. It is Monster Transmission. It was basically just a lockup valve some crimp connectors and a plug to replace the 4prong plug on the tranny. $20 on Ebay. I also used an adapter from Oregon Performance Transmission to adapt the TV Cable to the Holley without having to make something up. As for the install I did not use a tilt sling and that could have made it easier. I could not get the motor back far enough for the driver side header to clear the front suspension. Putting in on afterwards was much easier. Now I just have to figure out the hesitation I have right off idle.

Thanks for the response. The problem has been a little tough to pinpoint because it is intermittant. I advanced the timing to 12 today as well as reset the float levels. I have a post about it on the general engine board but haven't gotten anything back. I have also attached the pic of the new motor.
