305 TBI to L98
I have a chance to get an l98 from an 85 vette for cheap.
What will I need for this swap?
Will it bolt up to my WC T-5?
It comes with the computer, but the car it came out of had an automatic tranny.
Also, I've never done a motor swap before so what are some things I should know?
Thanks in advance for any help.

The engine will bolt to your T-5, but your flywheel won't bolt to that engine. You'll need a 153-tooth, 2-piece rear main seal version.
I've heard, but don't know personally, that the Vette & f-body oil pans are different, and again your pan won't work on that engine for the same reason. You'll have to find an '82-'85 type pan (others may fit as well).
What are some things you should know? Take a bunch of pictures before you take anything apart. Label everything you disconnect or unscrew. Use a cherry picker with a tilt sling for ease of removal and installation. If you enlist the help of others, keep the beer in the 'fridge until you quit for the day.

Thanks for the help.
What about the computer? I have the computer that goes with the engine, but it came out of a corvette with an automatic. I'm pretty sure it won't work properly for a manual car. Can I just swap the chip from a manual corvette from the same year?

From what I've gathered, auto vs. manual computers aren't much different. The auto will send a lock signal to a non-existant torque converter (a grounding signal, really), which if there's nothing to receive the signal, no harm/no foul.
But, you could get an '85 manual Vette computer if you liked.
