TBI to TPI quick overview questions.
I've searched and found most everything I need. I just wanted to re-cap for my peace of mind.
I've got a TBI 305 and may be swapping in a 350 TPI, so I need the following:
350 TPI engine complete
TPI ECM/ engine wiring harness
TPI fuel pump
Complete TPI exhaust
Is that it?
No fabbing cross members, crazy re-wiring, oil pan swapping? Just take those components and put them in where I take my parts out?
Back story;
I'm trying to work a deal to go in three ways on a rusted IROC for $900. So I'll have the whole car in front of me during the swap. For my $300 share I get an 89K mile stock TPI motor, full mint interior w/a pretty decent system, posi/disc rear-end and a fiberglass cowl induction hood. One guy gets the the shell, my axle, and TBI 305, he's building a bomber. Last guy gets front clip, all the glass, lights and exterior trim.

What exhaust do you plan on running? If you do not already have headers and or a cat-back I would grab the exhaust manifolds from the donor car as well. You won't want to use any stock LO3 exhaust componet on that motor. There is also a tech article on swapping from TBI to TPI that you might want to check out.

Thanks, somehow managed to miss the tech article. I plan to use the full exhaust off the TPI car. I have an edelbrock cat-back but it necks down at the cat. The TPI car has a flowcrapper but I believe it's a consistent diameter. I'll eventually ditch the muffler for a single exit 3" Magnaflow. I'll know two hours from now if the deal going to happen, I hate waiting

Saw the tech article, it answered some of my question about the EFI set-up. I'd still like to know if I missed anything from list above as far as parts needed for the swap.
As far as I understand it, if I put in the following, I'll be able to drive away:
Complete 350 TPI engine, plenum to oil pan
TPI ECM/ engine wiring harness
TPI fuel pump
Complete TPI exhaust
Is there anything else?
It's my daily driver, I'm just trying not to run into any problems on the day of the swap, I want to be prepared so I can drive it away in one or two days max.

I really appreciate your help, thanks.
ESC=electronic spark control right? Is that located in the distributor, or ???
I just plan to yank the motor right out, everything I need as far as sensors will come with it right?

EDIT: Is the donor car a MAF or speed density car? If it is MAF you will need all of the power relays and burn off relays from the driver side firewall.
