So my motor took a dump on me and i was looking into the zz4 crate motor my budget is low and need to get the car running since i do not have access to a garage for to long so i can build something im gonna have to go crate
for now i will be putting the tpi setup on it just until i can gather up more loot for the carb switch but i have been reading that the tpi will not fit on the zz4 then i hear it does.
so which is it lol?
also it seems the going price for the zz4 is about 3800 does that seem right or can i shop around for a better price

"Fit" is relative, I suppose.
The ZZ4 heads have all of the intake base mount bolts at the same angle, like '86-earlier and Vette L98 (since they're the same heads as the Vette L98). And, they don't have the exhaust cross-over passage for EGR.
Your base can be modified by elongating the center two bolt holes on each side so you can get the bolts in. Since you're talking about a carb switch, it doesn't sound like no EGR would be a concern to you.
Other than that, it should "fit" in an '87 with no other issues.
