89 Bird 2.8 To 5.0 Tbi
Hey guys you have been helpful in the past so lets see what yall got now, I have an 89 firebird with t-tops and a 2.8, i want to put a v8 in it and at first was gonna put a tpi 350 in it (i still will but will be later), well i found an 89 model bird with hard tops cold a/c and is in better shape than mine with a 305 tbi in better shape than mine, but i hate hard top firebirds so i plan on swapping it out. My question is this- both cars have vats system, does the resistance read at the ecm or at the vats module see i bought a new switch and keys for my v6 car and i wanna know if i spent that money in vein or if i can get the keys reconfigured, any help on this swap will be appreciated since i havent bought the other car yet, but i prolly will but it anyway it supposedly has a broken flywheel which is where the knock is coming from and the price is 400 bucks and has a very nice body that i will prolly resell

Ok well that answers that, but what about the vats stuff, what reads the resistance from the key, the vats module or the ecm? what all would i have to swap out to make the car run
