3.1 swap to 3800 v6 supercharged
I couldn't seem to find any posts about swappng in a Supercharged v6 (3800) from a late 90's or early 2000's Grand Prix GTP into a '92 Firebird (3.1). The thought is that the v-6 to v-6 would be easier on emissions and the motor might be easier to get than a GN turbo v-6.
Has anybody tried that yet?
What are the rules for Emissions legal swaps (especially in texas)?

I've done a regular 3800 II swap form a 95 comaro in my car. Biggest issue you're gonna have is cutting the the firewall for the tb & air routing. only way around it is to hunt down an aussie set up w/the side intake s/c.
as you cain see, there isn't much room from teh end of teh plenum to teh firewall, and that's just an f-body intake. GTP tb would be about 8~10 inches further back, plus intake piping.
also, search on 3800 , should get you plenty of responses on this.

Thanks
sounds like more trouble than it is worth. Not an easier alternative as I had hoped. I may stick to the Turbo GN idea instead.
