The Iron Duke: Resources and WIP
I've noticed that there is little information on the iron dukes on this forum so i'd like to fix that. Here are several links to builds and information on the iron dukes that will be useful to those who are interested in this little beast.
Some history: This has information about the design changes over the years and bell housing patterns... And here is the interesting part. In case you have a shell you'd like an "Iron duke race engine" in... look no further. This will be far cheaper than any rebuild.

The basics: Myths and useful 2.5l information

The rebuild: (120 HP daily driver + Fun)

Any build with a turbo or supercharger will probably require the 3.0 or 2.5 mercruiser crankshaft. It is overall cheaper to do the swap in link one if you desire a race built duke with a turbo or supercharger. Otherwise laugh your way between gas pumps with your 120hp.
Running the emissions line going back into the clean air housing down under the car helps. Most of the dukes issue with hills is dew to this dirty air choking the car. If you have to pass emissions I suggest a quality catch can.
And sorry for all the links. It took me several months to dig all this information up and its too much to regurgitate but now its in one place for the next guy.
(If any of this information is incorrect or invalid please correct me.)
(Updates to come once I get rolling on the engine.)
