Hello Everybody, My engine blew last weekend and i tracked down the exact engine and tranny i have to replace my engine and tranny and plan on rebuildin the new-to-me stuff before it goes in my car, problem is i can't find a place in Connecticut that will do the swap for a reasonable price, everybody wants 800+, i don't need any electric stuff connected or any vacccum lines ran just a engine block with tranny dropped into my car, i cant see it costing that much, im in the southington area if anybody can help me out, Thank You in advance for any help you can provide.

Why don't you need any electric stuff or vacuum lines ran? If you plan on connecting everything yourself why not just put the engine in by yourself? It's not tough and with one extra set of hands could be done in an 1 day EASILY!
I don't know what you consider a "reasonable price" but getting an actual "repair shop" to pull your blown motor & trans. and drop another one (an engine they didn't sell you) in the hole is not going to be too cheap and many garages don't really want to deal with a "do-it-yourselfer" or "shade tree" mechanic. They don't like to let you "have-it-your-way" like Burger King. You've should figure that if they do it, they're gonna bill you for a day's labor (minimum). One good mechanic could pull it and get the other one in the hole in a day.
1 Pro. Mechanic, 8 Hours, x Labor Rate = $800. Maybe you could find it a little cheaper but most likely not too much cheaper.Pull it yourself if you really want to save the $$$. You can probably rent a lift for $35 a day (count on two).
Sincerely,
Kurt
P.S. Do you really want the cheapest guy you can find working on your car?????
