Will my Serpantine set up fit?

I am going to put a carb 305 motor in my car. The Heads will be 601's and the block is from the early 80's I think.

Can I put the sepantine set up from my 88 on this motor?
Will the accy holes be in the right place to make it work?

I would be putting on the alternator, power steering, water pump, and getting rid of the air pump.

Do you think it will fit?

Do I have to use the harmonic balancer from my 88 305 or the one from the engine that is going in to make the crank pully fit?

Also can I use the 88 water pump? It is brand new, but it does not have the extra outlet on top like the one from the carbed motor? What is that outlet for the heater?

Oh and I forgot to ask what belt would I need when I get rid of the air pump?

The serp setup will fit. The water pump fitting on the top is the heater return (actually an inlet, not an outlet). You won't be affected, having a carb on top of the engine doesn't affect that.

Dampers are the same. Bolt your serp pulley on.

There's a thread about the delete & belt you'll need. Try the FAQ Board, or search.
