V6 serpentine swap to 5.7 TPI?

Can anyone verify which sepentine brackets and accesories will transfer from a V6 motor (86-91) to a 5.7 TPI?

Welcome aboard.

I haven't dealt with the V6 serp setup personally, but the quick answer to your question is probably "nothing". You may be able to use the AC compressor, PS pump, and alternator with V8 brakets and hoses/wiring.

Your probably thinking of the 90 degree 4.3 v6 which some people describe as a small block chevy with two cylinders chopped off. (not used in f-bodies) As I recall from my visits to the wrecking yards the serpentine system looks very similar but I don't know if its a direct bolt on. If you're up for converting a non-serp and are willing to give it a try, don't forget to get a reverse rotation waterpump.

mrrilla, I assumed you were talking about your current 3rd gen V6, into which you are planning on swapping a V8. Correct?

All serpantine components from a 4.3 WILL go on a smallblock, but you usually have to either run an unhooked smogpump,or fab up an idler pulley in it's place.

I don't know if it will bolt up to a V8. The F-body V6 has the A/C comp. on the drivers side and the Alt. is on the pass. side. F-body V8 are totally opposite. Vette setups are different also, clearance issues.
