When I hooked up the speedo in my 91Z28, the wire was gray in the C207 connector under the dash.

make sure you bypassed the VSS buffer box if your car was a TBI car.

Hope that helps

I just used the output from the LS1 PCM and hooked it up to the input going to my stock gage... works fine after we tuned my tire size and rearend ratio in the PCM!

The C207 connector is near the factory ECM behind the kick panel on the passenger side. That is where I connected to the speedo.

I don't beleive the speedo goes through the bulkhead connector at the firewall

Yeah, the speedo wire is over by the passenger kick panel near the old TPI ECM. It does not go thru the driver's side firewall bulkhead connector. We just connected to it over there.

Mine has about 12 or 15 wires in it.

It is black, and right in front of the ac box, but behind the dash.

For example, mine was just above the lip in the center of the foot well.... if that makes sense.

I'm sure if you search, you'll probably find a picture of one

Re: speedo wont work on my ls1 swap?/
oldddd thread, similar problem. So you guys ran the wire to the bulkhead connector infront of the steering column? I did that and it doesnt work. What about running it straight to the wire that runs to the printed circuit for the gauge cluster?

Do a search, I've posted a lot of specific info about the speedo and LSx/lt1 conversions
