2.8 V6 to LS1 swap, Questions

Ive got a 2.8L v6 stock camaro rs im working to convert over to an LS1. ive done a bit of research into what i all need to swap out and change. ive got some questions on what i need to actually swap out and what i can keep.

Can i keep the stock rear end?

Do i need to change the drive shaft?

Someone had said i need to change the torque arm?

I need a recommendation on an automatic transmission to bolt up

Any tips or information are appreciated

Can i keep the stock rear end? Yes

Do i need to change the drive shaft? No, rebalancing it cant hurt

I need a recommendation on an automatic transmission to bolt up Any 95-07ish 4L60E. Avoid any 3spd auto (TH350/400) and the 700R4. 98-02 V8 Fbody trans is the easiest and most commonly used

Any tips or information are appreciated
Read the swap sticky as posted above, then read it a few more times. There is ALOT required for this swap. Until you know exactly whats required and solve every problem, you should not dive in
