engine and t56 crooked
Hey guys, need some help! Got my LS engine in and everything looked fine!, but when I installed the t56 the shifter is nowhere handy to lined up in the tunnel, I'm thinking I might have my motor mounts on wrong, and thats why im having problems, anyone have any idea if that's possible? And pics or info would be great, it sits further to the passenger side, thanks in advance guys

How far over? Any pics?
The shifter handle will attach on the left side of the shifter input if that makes sense, in order for it to have enough room to go to reverse

Re: engine and t56 crooked
ok I have some pics, but first let me say I had my cam shells on wrong, so last night I changed them out, what a huge difference! but I'm still not sold on the shifter location, I should have moved the engine ahead another 1 or 2 inches, so the shifter could sit in the proper location, but that would be addinig more weight to the front of the car which I don't want.
so In the pics you'll see that it still sits to the right to much, if you have any pics can you post them? I cant find any good pics of the shifter hole with the t56, thanks

The hawks/spohn k-member mounts are known to hang low on the pass side for ls1 swaps. Fab your own to correct this
Trans looks normal to me. The shifter hole needs to be opened up an extra 2", standard fare for the conversion
Also note it will require extensive surgurey to perfectly align the driveline to the chassis. From the factory there was a 2" bias to the pass side for the whole powertrain. With the new drivetrain, a little fudging is expected

Looks just like mine, in fact mine is more to the right than yours, you just have to cut the floor so that you can fit the shifter

this is the only other picture I took on the top side, I am sure I have some from the underside.
No vibrations what so ever, just used a poly mount
