I have a v6 firebird its got a 350 on the way. just wondering if i could use the v6 trannyand drive shaft. ive herd of "cutom clutches" and other things but i wouldnt want to put a ton of money into something im un-sure about and destroying my cars transmission. also.. this is a daily driver not too much drag racing going on here.. And would i need V8 gauges?

You'll need a V8 tach, a V6 tach will read high.

Your driveshaft will work, but if your transmission is a V6 700R4, it has a different bolt pattern and won't bolt to a V8 block.

The gauges will probably be ok. If you change the bellhousing, the T5 will bolt to the V8, but I believe the V6 T5 is built pretty lightly and won't live long. A search should turn up more details.
