I just got probably the best deal ive ever gotten. I just bought a 91 camaro with a tpi 355....700r4 and a posi disc rear. I got it from a junk yard for $650.00. It runs pretty good it has msd ignition and one of those upgraded computers. it has the painless engine harness and Im told it has a shift kit and a stall converter. this guy has no idea what he has i guess. i now have everything i need to do my swap and finally be rid of the 3.1. I cant believe i got a complete car for that price. i may start parting the rest of it out and my drivetrain soon as i can get started on the swap.

 

Sounds like a nice find. Why was it in the yard?

Good point tho, why had someone tried to scrap it.

 

the guy that owned it went to jail a few years back owing the guy at the junkyard some money. He got the car for the money owed and never got a title for the car. The guy is in jail for the next 20 years. He thought instead of caring about getting the title he could get more money parting it out. So he started parting some of it out mostly interior. The drivetrain is complete and the car runs. Its missing the ttops and most of the interior also a fender I think. I guess he forgot he had it they are in the process of smashing some of the cars and I was there last week and found it back in the corner. I told him I wanted it and he gave me the 650.00 price and said get it out of here I forgot I had it but youve helped me out a lot pulling parts. So thats the story.
