Thinking of something a little original...

Thinking of picking up this 3.8 camaro for pretty cheap($400) then sticking in the GN block with the FWD heads. I have searched a while but can't seem to find a site so I can put a parts list together. So far from what I found I can probably do this whole swap for little under $2500 give or take. My only question is does anyone know if there is a reason why swap FAQ suggest using the Turbo TA's front cross member instead of the stock one. It wasn't very clear and only talked about the swap from a previous V8 car perspective. I was thinking about using the stock block and building it but I heard the buick version is a little stronger. Is there any truth to this or is it not more of a difference then say a N/A VG30E-VG30ET kinda thing ?

Go to the turbobuick boards and check the hybrid sections.Your #'s are probably going to double if not triple though when you try to find the TA specific parts.Better off just buying a TTA in the long run.My .02
