My Iroc passed with flying colors, and it houses a 454-BBC. No visual was done, and even if it were.... I don't think today's tech's could even tell anymore.

I mean think about it, I'm on line, and the tech see's in the following order; Cadillac, Lexus, Buick, Toyota, minivan, minivan, minivan etc.. etc..., Camaro. Other than myself, I don't think anyone in the entire building (county inspection center) could tell a small block from a big block (even with the hood up).

Just make sure you're running a very good catalytic converter, and that she's properly tuned... before hand. You'll be fine.

No prob at all here back when I had my 0.030+ 350, LT4 HOT cam, no EGR, etc. And that was at a state facility, no funny business involved.

All you need is an accurate fuel and spark tune, and a good catalytic converter.

Anyone from jersey

aite sick thats the kind of answers i was looking for. One of the reasons i was wondering about all this is because i just reciantly bout a 84 camaro z28 with the 305 quadro jet. After i bought the car and had it back at my place i realized that the air pump, some of the sensors, and other small parts were missing from inside the engine compartment, and my dad made a good point and told me that i mite need 2 get everything in tact for incase they do a visual check up under the hood of my camaro. And if you guys say you didnt have any problems or anything than i should b alrite. I figured they didnt do a visual inspection because the car has a good inspection sticker on it as of rite now, and there are some stock parts that arent in tact. The biggest concern of mine was that id drop a 350 crate motor in that puppy and than have a million and one problems trying to get it to pass inspection.

Now another thing i was considering was customizing my own exhaust system for this camaro. I figured run tru dual exhaust off the headers, have each exhaust pipe have a catalytic converter on either side and then have them angle out b4 the rear tires. Do you guys think ill have any problems with that. mayb for the car being too loud or not having mufflers etc.

And another thing i was wondering about was do you guys no anything about classic plates qq plates or historic plates. Do you no if an 84 camaro qualifies for any of these specific plates. I dont think it does, not at least for another 3 years but hell u all probably no a little more about the 3rd generation camaros than me. Im still in the learning process
