buick 455 tpi

i was wondering if anyone can help me with this process i am trying to fit a tpi system on a big block buick and i am thinking in terms of the distributor because from what i understand the distributor is what give's fuel timing for the injector's and the distributors are both way different as most of you will know so in this case what is your advice on this i also need some advice on a knock sensor how would this work on a buick motor have the intake all set for this process thank you in advance.

The TPI isn't going to fit on a Buick engine. Probably the best solution is to run a modified 4 barrel style intake of your choice drilled for injectors, fab up some fuel rails, and either use a 4 barrel style throttle body or an elbow to adapt a FI style throttle body. Several manufacturers make an elbow to accept the Ford 5.0 style monoblade; Accel makes one that will take the dual blade TPI style. If you are planning to use the factory ECM, you could probably combine parts from a TPI style distributor and the factory unit to come up with a computer controlled distributor. This would be easiest with the large cap style HEI, since the Buicks used a non-cc version of this distributor from 74-76 and they're fairly common. Adding a knock sensor shouldn't be too hard, just drill and tap a hole into a coolant jacket on the side of the block if there isn't already a tapped and plugged hole (not as familiar with the Buick engines to know if they had a block drain plug).
