Please I need Advice
im currently building a 355 to replace the old 350 in my 1991 Z28. i need to know if my stock speed density will handle the added cubic inchs and the performance camshaft (.495/.503)(.218/.224). will it run at all after i install the engine with out any tuning to the ecm or will i have to burn a chip for it to run. please i need help.
Thanks

Car: Yes
Engine: Usually
Transmission: Sometimes
Axle/Gears: Behind me somewhere
The CID difference is negligible. It's still a 350, for all practical purposes.
Yes it will run; might not run to its full potential, and it might not idle right, but it should at least run. You'll almost certainly have to burn a new chip to get the full benefit of your other efforts.

Speed density systems are more sensitive to engine changes than mass air flow systems. However, they do provide more control and tunability. My suggestion is to just give it a try and see what happens. Then solve any problems that arise.
