89 bird has some miles on the 305
torque converter and rear end are taking a beating

my motor still runs strong (irrelevant) amazingly so i am going to drive it aorund while i build a 350

I am going to Ohio pretty soon and according to my dad its junkyard haven and its rural and everything is cheap....

whats a good price for a 350 block and maybe guts

i am setup with tbi

how hard is it to switch to carb'd...

as far as i've gotten on my plans which is just still idea phase
but i plan on boring the engine out, mild cam, vortec heads, edelbroc intake, rebuilt quadrajet with ram air... plumbing will be hooker longtubes coming out to cutouts and thats as far as i've gotten... my transmission i figured i'd just get rebuilt... get an alum. driveshaft.... and havnt looked into rear end

oh and i have no idea where to go on my distributor and such

this is initial research and im new to chevy/pontiac :-\

what am i not considering? suggestions?
