used vs. painless W/H?

Transmission: t-5, alum DS
Axle/Gears: 3.42 torsen posi, baer discs
used vs. painless W/H?
is it worth it to use a salvaged wiring harness or should i just go to painless? i'm swapping a tpi 355 to my '83 z-28 which had a 305 cfi! obviously, i'll only need the engine managment part, right? trying to save$$$ but don't want a month of sundays troubleshooting!
