Help Plz
HI, im seeking advice with a 86 Camaro w/ 2.8L and a TH350. How will this car run performance wise, I know not good, but how bad is it? Also what would I need to do/get to put a "real motor"(350) where the gutless thing sits. I bought the car on Ebay so I was wondering b4 I picked it up. Well thx

use the search button.. sometimes it works.. and try the tech articles on the home page. if you read on of the top stickeys on this page, it will tell you about a v6-v8 swap.

Well since you have a th350 it is probly a universal bell housing (you need to check this, it can be done by counting the holes in the bell housing). If you do then all you have to do is remove the v6 and put the v8 mounts in. They are the forward 3 holes in frame. Then you put the motor in, you can find more detail in the stickey at the top of the engine swap page.

Would it just be easier to fix up my 86 and sell it and look for a v-8 camaro???

I have never heard of a TH350 that mounts to the 2.8/3.1/3.4 60-degree V6. I sense something amiss here.

There wasnt one, thats for sure. The only dual bolt pattern you would find is a Chevy/BOP dual bolt pattern.
