i blew my motor the other night i am lookin at putting in a 383. possibly the gm performance ZZ383. would a stock tpi work with the ZZ383? or would it just be better to go ahead and throw a carb on? and if anyone out there knows any better deals on good 383 short or long blocks. thanx

i'm not for sure that the stock tpi will work well with the 383, but i read a 4-Wheel and Off-Road magazine the other day and they were using the ZZ383 with an ACCEL TPI system and made around 415-425 HP and a little more in torque. i think this system would work well for something like this because you don't have to worry about burning a chip and all adjustments can be made from you laptop. if i were doing this swap that's what i would use.
