lt1 wiring
ok guys ive searched up and down and found some very helpful information but havent really found much on wiring... ive found everything else that i need as far as converting to a 6 speed and i will be removing the ac and using the ac delete pully or just removing the back part of the compressor.
also i think my car already has vats because my key has a little "chip" thing that is need 2 start the car would it be easy to keep my vats?

You did not post enough info to make for a clear question.
Try shbox.com for wire info.
Your key was good for the car the way it came from the factory. If you installed an LT1 and its PCM you need the key for the PCM. Yes you need to use a vts bypass or resistor if you know the resistance value of the key that matches the PCM.

or just simply have your pcm retuned. itll save you some headaches and make your car run better anyhow and you can have the Vats removed

There is more than enough info floating around on the wiring, you havent searched hard enough if you cant find it.
As far as the VATS goes most people around here are confused, you want to have the vats programmed off in the PCM, however your system will still be functional for the starter disable to the relay, supposedly TexasLT1 says he bought a new vats module for his thirdgen (they come blank for any vats resistance and program auto once its first turned on) and it worked with the PCM, im not so sure his system is actually functional, as i've tried a matching 4th gen vats box / pcm / key value transferred into a thirdgen and didnt get it work, take each with a grain of salt as I have no guarantee that something just wasnt broken with the one setup I tried.

I agree with turning it off in the PCM. That is what I will do when I have the PCM tuned to the mods.....once I can make a decision on a cam. Sorry that I neglected to mention that option.
