we have an 84 Z28 that originally had a carburated 305, and was later converted to TPI. the motor is on it's last leg, and we want to go with a small block 350, and get back to carb. will i have problems with the trans fitting on a 350 as opposed to the stock 305? i've already been looking at crate motors and i've found one with 290hp which is fine because we're really not looking for a race car or anythng, but we do want a little juice with room for upgrades later when we have the money. i also found a 300hp and a 330hp, but i just want to ask someone who knows if any of these small block 350's will bolt up to the trans with no probs. i saw a post on here somewhere and some guy said that ANY small block 350 will work, but i always like to hear something a few more times before i trust it.

 

I mated my stock T5 to a 350 HO with no problems.
